I was hired as the payroll and accounting manager at a small engineering/welding company. As I entered the timesheets, I compared them to the rosters. I then realized that the owner was shorting his employees by almost three hours every week. He didn’t pay them for toolbox discussions and other stuff. I told the guys in the workshop and then walked out. I emailed my resignation from my car.
