Gone Too Soon
My colleague went to use the bathroom. We checked up on her when she didn’t return. She was clearly in need of an ambulance. Everyone on the ground floor was instructed to remain inside while she was brought down from our level. No one on the main floor knew what had happened because all of the blinds were closed. Paramedics worked on her in the parking lot, but they were too late. She passed away less than an hour after she was treated.
We were all shocked when the hospital informed us of what happened. It was revealed that it was a blood-clot. This was shocking because she was so young and in good health. It was my worst day at work.
