A Dark Realization
I was a police officer in my youth. I was a collision reconstructionist and a substance enforcement officer. I once responded to a fatal crash. The victim was 12 and her birthday. A woman made a dangerous left turn into the parking area at Amazing Jakes. The worst part of the situation was telling that lady she was responsible for the death of her daughter.
When she turned onto the parking lot she killed her daughter. In my head, I can still hear the woman and her husband screaming.
