Maintenance Mishap
I used to be a retail employee at a large box store. We had an immigrant maintenance man from Eastern Europe. He was very nice and could fix almost anything. I was shocked to see the entire office and locker room flooded with water. There were carpet dryers everywhere. My manager explained that a pipe had broken in the sprinkler system room, flooding the front.
I was friends with one of their security guards and asked him why the pipe broke. His revelation shook me to my core. He said that the maintenance man had hung himself by the pipe in the sprinkler area and it broke when he weighed down. This was a shocking discovery. After that, the place was never quite the same.
