Workplace horror stories told by disgruntled employees

It’s not the right time to buy.

After a long hospital stay, my grandfather, whom I looked up to as a father, died. Our bond was much stronger than his relationship with his children. I asked my manager if I could have the day of the funeral off since I was organizing the arrangements and take a few days of bereavement. He agreed.

On the day of the funeral, the staff starts calling, asking me why I am not there for my shift and telling me that I must find someone else to replace me. This is all happening while I am in a suit, hosting family at the funeral home. It was obvious that I told them to solve the problem and have never looked back.
