Workplace horror stories told by disgruntled employees

Fine Print

In 2012, I started looking for jobs in other industries than food. But then I became desperate. The burger joint had just opened and needed workers. On their window, they advertised $11.75 per hour for all positions. I was hired within 20 minutes of submitting my application. I had an interview the moment I submitted my application.

Why would I still be working at this place if I had completed my bachelor’s? It was a low-paying job! They told me to withdraw my money immediately, and that I wouldn’t be returning due to their deception.

The sign did not specify that a bachelor’s degree was required to earn that amount of money. I was paid $11.25 an hour. In 2018, they closed and the store was replaced by a Halloween-themed shop.
