Cheesy Situation
When I was 16, I worked at McDonald’s. For our lunch break, we used to receive a free sandwich and a small fry with a drink. When I was on a break one day, the franchise owner happened to be there. He tried to charge me for the entire meal when he saw that I asked for cheese with my burger.
I thought he had a good laugh so I started walking to the break room. Then it became awkward. In front of my customers and coworkers, he yelled for me to not walk away from him. This successful grown man was harassing a 16-year old for a piece of cheese. I said I wouldn’t pay and put down the food.
The weekend they called me and asked if I would like to come in to work, I said no thank you.
