Many strange objects have been found on the bottoms of lakes, oceans and other water bodies. Scientists were testing their sonar equipment when they discovered something strange at the bottom of Israel’s Sea of Galilee.
Scientists were confused by the massive cone structure, which measured 230 feet wide and 39 feet high. This giant underwater cone was thought to weigh up to 60,000 tons. It is possible that the structure was a ritual structure, as it looks similar to nearby burial sites. It is difficult to examine the structure because it lies so deeply underwater. Researchers have estimated it’s age at 6,000 years.
