Indianapolis Location:
Date Discovered: The Late 1800s
Est. Value: N/A

All of us are familiar with the large and creepy Parisian Catacombs. What people may not be aware of is the fact that catacombs are found all over the world. They can even be found beneath Indianapolis’ City Market.

The catacombs are located under City Market. There is no public access to the catacombs. You’ll find stairs that lead to a basement of concrete if you manage to get past the security. You can then head to the underground catacombs where 140 columns form a maze. You can reach the brick catacombs through the Tomlinson Hall basement, which was built in the 1800s. It is a multi-story former convention centre.

Gold coins with rare values are the traditional idea of treasure. We all know what to expect when a pirate in a film opens his chest of treasure. These treasures are not usually found within the walls of manors. However, this is what was discovered in a historic Brittany property.

When renovating the manor, construction workers discovered a hidden metal box. The box contained 239 gold coins minted between the reigns of King Louis XIII & XIV. Workers also found another cache near a beam of wood. These finds are worth a total of around 356,000 dollars.
