Unforgettable Airline Travel Horror Stories

On Flight Daycare

On a flight from Toronto to Houston, there was a kid who was going crazy. He was running down the aisle of the plane with a metal Tonka truck. He nearly hit my mother with it, and smacked his head on mine. The family would not sit him until the announcement was made that no food or drink service would take place until the aisle had been cleared.

The nightmare was just beginning. As soon as the service was finished, they let him loose again. The cockpit finally had to return and inform the family that we could not start the landing until the brat had been seated. He was put in his seat as he screamed.

He was again running with his truck up and down the aisle as we landed. They were so dense, that they smirked as the captain told them to stay in their seats. Only families with young children would be allowed out first. It was difficult for Mom to get off the plane because she walked with a walking cane. We waited until the aisles were empty since we were at home.

As we exited the plane, the child was screaming half way down the jetway. Then I saw a wonderful sight: He was being held by the authorities, while the rest of his family were handcuffed.
