An Honest Mistake
On an eight-hour flight from Florida to New York, a family with five children boarded before the rest of us and asked that their seats be rearranged so they could all sit together. They occupied my seat and the entire row, even though I am a mother myself. The flight attendant was trying to get them all to sit together, but I understand. They ignored me when I asked politely to sit down.
They said “No, we are still waiting for our seats and you can wait at the rear of the plane”. I crossed my arms, and just stared at them. This was causing delays for people behind me. I explained that it was not me but the entitled family who was the problem. The family finally decided to wait in the back of plane.
