Unforgettable Airline Travel Horror Stories

Hit Her Where It Hurts

After visiting my family, my mom and I flew back to the States. I was about seven or eight years old. There was a mix-up and my mother’s seat was double booked. My mom was asked to move by the lady in the seat next to her. You’d assume that, since she was alone, the child-carrier should remain.

But nah. My mother tried to stop her, but she just kept screaming at her. Finally my mom gave in and I was taken by my mom to find seats that were close enough so we wouldn’t have been separated. According to my mother, she hit me where it hurt. She said “No, You’re Mean”. I don’t recall saying it, but I remember being extremely shocked by her offer.
