Causing A Delay
I was in another country preparing for a long journey home. The plane was packed and ready to go 40 minutes earlier than scheduled. The flight attendants were unable to get everyone on the plane to sit down.
The people were standing up, stretching and even spatting on the aisle. Not just one or two, but maybe a quarter. Flight attendants would walk up and down aisles, asking people to buckle up and sit down. But as soon as they left, the passengers would stand up. The pilot returned with a translator and yelled at the passengers that they had to sit down, or else the plane wouldn’t leave.
We were 30 minutes late for our departure.
