Not Above the Rules
My sister worked as a flight attendant. She had an older passenger sit in her seat, with a large purse on her shoulder. She asked her nicely to place it under the front seat, if she did not want to store it in the overhead compartment. The lady replied, “No but that’s okay, I don’t plan on opening it and rummaging through it when we start or land”.
She refused to comply with my sister’s instructions. The same answer. She replied, “I don’t plan to crash the plane, but if we do on a rare occasion, I will need your purse moved out of the path! If you don’t agree, I will have to take your purse and leave it on the plane!
