22. Worrying Situation
A child started screaming and yelling in an irritating and antagonistic manner during a drill to prevent school shootings. We didn’t know it was a practice and the kid just started banging on walls while yelling, “HEY! WE’RE HERE!! WE’RE HERE!! We had no idea it was a drill and the kid was just banging on walls and yelling “HEY WE’RE IN HERE WE’RE IN HERE!!
It was a drill. The teacher, student aids, and myself were all trying to stop him. A friend of mine, who was still convinced that this was real, literally went to punch out his lights to silence him.
If the announcement had come a few moments later, that child would have been knocked unconscious.
