Through a Child’s Eyes
I have a brother. We were six when we went to central Australia with dad and our older brother. My twin and I were walking through the forest when he fell behind. I was shocked to my core by the next scene. Then we heard him scream, and then saw him run to catch us up.
He told my father that he saw something very scary. He did not say what it was at the time. We were later in a town nearby and my twin pointed to a painting on the wall of a gallery, saying that it was the same figure he saw during our walk.
My father went to the gallery and inquired about the figure. The gallery staff said that it was an Aboriginal spirit who takes children away from their camp or families if they wander too far.
