Rich people who are out of touch

Trust Fund Baby

One of my army friends was a trust-fund baby. He only served to have a line on his résumé, as he planned to pursue a political career. It’s fine, I did the same thing. I served to have a line in my resume. The amount of attention he gave to his work was appalling. He would pay guys $1,000 to do his job.

Every few months he would buy a new Mercedes, BMW or other European car. I remember that he once ran out of fuel on base, and he just left the car there to go to the rental car place. He drove off base in the rented vehicle to buy a brand new car. He was hated by everyone on our team. My team leader threw him into a cave deep in Afghanistan.

It was to make sure he did not embarrass himself or hurt anyone. The last I heard, he worked at the Pentagon. When I was there to work, he appeared like a simple secretary. He tried to make himself look more important than he really was. He had people calling him “Hey, Guy” because they didn’t care to know his name.

As I said, it’s all for the resume points. He is not interested in money. He is more interested in power. He is a narcissistic idiot who I think will become a successful politician one day soon, because many politicians have the same personality as him.
