Rich people who are out of touch

Worth My Weight in Gold

As I opened a bottle to put on this table, I began experiencing chest pains. I was afraid because I had a fit the last time this happened. I was so scared that I nearly dropped the bottle. I placed it on the table. A lady asked: “Honey, are you okay?” as it was obvious that something was wrong. The man who bought the bottle told him “We’re not paying $50 per person to have you die here.”

The pain slowly subsided after a few seconds, which felt like an eternity. I apologized for what had happened the last time and told him about my experience. He then replied with cruel words: ‘At least, you didn’t drop the glass–it cost more than your entire life. Tears began to form in my eyes while I poured the drink. I never returned to that table.

Later, the lady who had asked me if I was alright came up to apologize for the man. She also gave me $100 as a tip. Yet, I still remember feeling totally worthless in that moment. The bottle was $300.
