Change of Mind
One time I worked as a cocktail server at a Hollywood bar. The bar was “A-List” and we served celebrities and movie stars all the time. It was Thursday night, and it was very busy. I had to run drinks from the bar back to the tables. On one of my tables, there were about five women who looked like they had a girls night out.
The purses, shoes and snotty attitude told me they were in their late 20s. I rush by their table with a tray of drinks, including martinis, to go to another table. As I rush by, the girl grabs my dress and turns to make sure she gets her drink.
My tray falls over as I am jerked forward and the drinks spill all over me. I give her an angry look, but she doesn’t make eye contact. She says “Instead of the cosmo, I want Grey Goose on Ice” and then turns to her friends like nothing happened. I was tempted to pour some drinks on her next!
