Flip the Coin
In a bar that I frequented, quarter nights were held. You would order something and then flip a quarter to pay for it. If the quarter landed heads, it cost 25 cents. If you got tails, the cost of your drink was charged. I’ve met guys who order whole bottles for the sake of flipping a penny.
They would all stomp and pay when they got the tails. They would cheer when it was heads and pay the quarter. Then they would tip the value of the bottle. They did this all night long, and the bottles cost well over $100. The thrill of the coin flip was all they wanted. They were loved by the bartenders.
