Overly Neighborly
Because the store’s address was wrong, my boss accidentally received the Bloomingdale’s invoice of a neighbor. My neighbor assumed that the name on the invoice was the wife’s because he didn’t look at the name. He paid the bill for many years. He paid thousands of dollars to his neighbor’s Bloomingdales bill, without anyone knowing.
When they finally figured out what was going on, his response was shocking. He told the neighbor that it was a gift for Christmas.
