Tough Night Out
We received a gift certificate for a high-class restaurant as a present from a wealthy friend. We go to a restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal. After our meal, the mood changed. I asked my wife if she should pay in front of the restaurant or at the table. When the waitress overhears our conversation about the gift card, she tells us to give it to a gentleman who is sitting over there.
She then ROLLS her EYES. We felt embarrassed, and left the table. We approached the gentleman in the front and he was polite and gracious. From his behavior, I can tell that she does it a lot. We gave the standard tip for the waitress but left 25 dollars and 50 dollars to the gentleman. It’s too bad for her.
