Rich people who are out of touch

Spending like it’s going out of style

One time, I was working at a jewelry store for a luxury brand when this woman and her husband came in. When I welcomed them, they ignored me and walked straight past. Unfazed, I continued to follow them and try to have a conversation. The woman began asking questions about the things in her cabinet. She bought all the things I pointed out without even looking at the price or blinking an eye.

In less than 10 seconds, she spent over $33,000. Once I began gift-wrapping everything, her and her husband demanded free things, and threatened to not give us any more business unless we found the most expensive, best freebies. The management team scrambled for freebies, even though $33K in luxury retail is not much.

It seems that every visit she has made over the years was a big one.
