Not the Brightest Idea
As a bartender I once had a guy in his 30s who asked me if he could buy all of the champagne in my bar for him and four friends. I told him no, but that I would sell two bottles to him and he could order more if they finished them. I said that was fine and sold him the bottles. Then, I went to smoke my break. He was going to do something that I didn’t expect.
Around 10 minutes after that, I saw him and his friends run into the street with as many bottles of champagne as they could. It didn’t end there. Then they started smashing full bottles in the street, while screaming and laughing. My co-worker had agreed to sell our entire stock for a nice tip.
They were smashing champagne bottles in the street, then running into the bar for more. They fled in their car after we called the police. It was a colossal bill. Three of them paid with credit cards, and one person gave cash.
