The Hundred Acre Surprise

My grandfather died with a portfolio worth $20 million. He drove an old Honda and lived in a 1950s-built one-bedroom apartment. His entire wardrobe, which was more than 10 years old, was purchased at Walmart. A group of distant relatives came to hear his will in hopes of getting something. We couldn’t believe what we heard.

He then spent 10 pages in his will roasting all of them. After he had made fun of them all, he then spent 10 pages listing all the foundations and charities to which he would be leaving his money. The information he provided was surprising. No one knew that he owned 160 acres in Vermont. The land was given to a landtrust and converted into hiking trails.
