Jetting Away
I knew a rich guy who had two jets’ interiors renovated, including the leather seats. He said he noticed that the pitch of hand stitching was different on some seats. He thought that Cessna employed two different craftsmen to work on the seats. This was unacceptable to him. He was shocked by his reaction.
He sent both jets to Cessna AGAIN for all the seats to be redone by the SAME person. This jet owner was the same one who complained about the Affordable Care act, which would prevent his company from kicking employees off medical insurance once they had reached their lifetime limit. Yep.
You wouldn’t believe it! This person’s savings from kicking sick people out of health insurance were almost equal to the cost for the interior refurbishment of two jets — nearly seven figures. On this day, the cracks started to show in the conservative rhetoric that I had been immersed in my whole life.
