Rich people who are out of touch

Chaos at the Country Club

It was 10 minutes until the Easter buffet opened at an upscale country club. It was obvious that it would be a busy day. As I walked through the dining area, checking the last details of the day, a two-year-old girl ran into the room. She had escaped her mother who was working at the front desk.

She stops about six feet away from us and stares up at us with wide-open eyes. I must have looked quite the sight in my tall white hat, white apron and even down to my toes. Her mother appears, grabs her daughter and takes her away, saying “Don’t speak to them. That’s the help dear.”
