7. I’m being called by someone every time I go out

As a child, I would hear my father calling me from his room when I was in my bedroom. When I was in my room, playing with Legos, or whatever it was that I did at the time…I’d hear my father calling my name.

As a child, I thought that my parents were playing a joke on me because they would tell me every time they called my name. As a child, I thought they were making a joke because it happened every few days.

It happened one night and I asked them, as usual, what they wanted. As I entered their room, my mother’s voice called for me in the living room which was on the opposite side of the home. At that moment, I realized that no one was teasing me. I saw both my parents seated in front of me.

I kept it to myself, until my brother was finally diagnosed with partial Narcolepsy. Aural hallucinations are one of the symptoms for narcolepsy, so I assumed I might have it. I went to get myself checked and everything was fine. It’s been years since I heard my name, but I can still hear it when I visit or stay with friends.
