Photographer shocked when lioness asks for help

A word of advice

The veterinarian warned the rangers to stay away from the lion as it would attack if they did. She advised that the rangers administer sedation before attempting to interact with the lion to ensure their safety as well as the lion’s cooperation in the examination. The rangers followed the veterinarian’s advice and carefully prepared to sedate a lion. They took all the necessary precautions, and planned their approach in order to minimize risk for both the animal as well as themselves. The rangers and veterinarian were able to assess the situation more thoroughly after the lion was sedated.
