Becoming desperate
He spent hours researching the images and book on his computer. Unfortunately, the illustrations were not very clear. He was becoming increasingly desperate when he suddenly found something. Tommy was shocked by the article that he read; he couldn’t believe his eyes. He was dreaming. He compared the image of the book with the one on his computer screen. There was no doubt in his mind. Could this really be happening?
Unbelievable
He was still not sure. He needed to confirm the book he thought it was, and knew where to go. He put the book in a bag, jumped on his bike and ran across town. Victor, the owner of the pawnshop, welcomed him after a few moments. The proprietor was not impressed when Tommy told him about the item that he brought.
