After five hours of driving, Martin reached the half-way point on his journey.
He slept in the motel overnight, but woke to the sound his dog barking and growling.
He calmed Torrent, then looked at the object he was yelling at. He opened his suitcase. He began to pull out items one by one, until Torrent reacted.
