The Unexpected – Lessons to be Learned
The incident became the topic of conversation for the whole school. The importance of communication and empathy was discussed in the classroom. Students learned that fear is often a result of the unknown and that understanding can help to dispel it.
This was a lesson I didn’t expect, but it was a valuable one.
