Emily begins to hear faint sounds in the distance. The first thing that Emily hears is a cry for help. It gets weaker and weaker. It can’t possibly be a good thing. Some animals are desperate for attention.
What could these be?

Emily becomes agitated and is almost in opposition when she hears the loud noise. Then she realizes that someone is calling her. When she picks up her phone, there is almost no signal.
The vet is stuttering on the other end. He sounds vaguely like he wants her to return.
