Satellite phone
The crew hadn’t used the satellite phone before, but one of the fisherman remembered it. The fishermen grabbed their old satellite phone and quickly called the rescue team, explaining the situation.
It was a stroke of luck for someone to have picked up on the signal.
It is a long way away
Unfortunately, the response of the rescue crew was not very promising. The men were told that the boat was far away from shore and it would take some time to get there.
It was for a good reason that these waters are rarely used by fishermen. The rescue team also warned them of a coming storm.
