Ultimatum
Tim knew Faith would leave him if he did not make drastic lifestyle changes. Faith was nearing her breaking point and, as much as her husband loved her, she knew that he could also benefit from some tough loving. She told Tim, if he did not improve his coping skills, that she and their three daughters would leave. Tim took up martial arts to fill in the void alcohol had left.
Talking it Out
Tim and Faith still love each other the same way they did at the beginning of their romance. Tim shared that their success was due to their easy communication. He said, “She (Faith) would be happy if I told them, ‘Let’s ride in the car for two hours to talk.'” They know that communicating with each other is the foundation of their relationship.
