The hipster has become a joke, and a punchline. In recent years, the number of people identifying themselves as hipsters has decreased dramatically. However, we are all hipsters in some sense, because we’re always on the lookout for something new and cool.
If we are the first to adopt a style, an activity or a thought, we can claim some sort of superiority. This joke is funny because it tells us that the shop only sells coffee.
