When you used to be able to look someone directly in the eyes and not have them turn their screens back on themselves. When you were eating out and your phone rang it was a big deal. When a coffee house was for coffee, conversation and congregation.
We are buying the products that this enterprising shop is selling. The year 1995 may seem a long time ago – WiFi wasn’t invented until the mid-2000s. But perhaps the store is trying to bring back the days when the internet was a mere gleam of an eye.
